Over the past few months, Kickstart Innovation has been pleased to support Mindstone in hosting a series of monthly AI Meetups in Zurich. Both organizations describe the meetup as a practical AI community format in Zurich focused on real-world applications.
With the latest session, we marked our third meetup together. Each event brought together a full room of more than 50 participants, all eager to learn, exchange ideas, and discuss how AI is being applied in practice.
What makes these meetups especially valuable is their strong practical focus. Rather than staying at the level of broad conversations about AI, they create space for concrete examples of how AI is already transforming day-to-day work across functions and industries.
Across the sessions so far, participants have explored a range of real-world use cases, including content creation and distribution, HR and team management, customer service, education, and sales and growth.
We heard from Aditya Gudipudi of MATI AI on AI-powered systems for content and distribution, Peter Pankaczi of Bloomie on how AI can support talent and people operations, and Maciek Stanasiuk of Displate on scaling customer service through automation. The sessions also featured Vinitra Swamy, PhD of Scholé AI, who shared insights on rethinking online learning from the ground up with AI, as well as Colin Wirz of Pyango, who spoke about automating lead generation and cold outreach end to end. The linked organizations publicly present themselves in these respective domains: MATI AI in AI business assistance, Bloomie in AI-powered hiring, Scholé AI in AI-native learning, and Pyango in AI/software solutions.
Bringing together builders, operators, and ecosystem actors to share practical experiences is an important part of strengthening collective learning. It also helps foster a more connected and collaborative AI community in Zurich.
These meetups show the value of creating spaces where experimentation, practical knowledge, and honest exchange can come together. As AI continues to evolve rapidly, conversations grounded in real applications are more important than ever.
