We were delighted to welcome over 80 local and international executives to Beaulieu Circulaire for Kickstart’s exclusive CEO Dinner Lausanne. ✨
It was a privilege to give our partners and scaleups a sneak peek of the new venue dedicated to #circularity and #inclusion and home to our partner Impact Hub Lausanne (officially opening in Spring 2023), and to be part of the thriving atmosphere of Switzerland's leading companies and institutions engaging with our inspirational scaleups. 🌐
Before we kicked off the delicious 3-course meal, curated from local produce, attendees were welcomed by Katka Letzing, CEO & Co-Founder of Kickstart, and Amanda Byrde, Co-Founder of Impact Hub Lausanne & Geneva, before being immersed into the current activities of Etat de Vaud from their Head of Business Unit, Raphaël Conz.
Following the starter, we heard pitches from 10 of our 2022 cohort including Workwolf, AIDONIC, Doconomy, Ampliphi, SolarGaps - Solar Panel Window Blinds, urbanistic, Happy Bob by Harald AI, Deep Longevity representing over 6 countries including Sweden 🇸🇪, Hong Kong 🇭🇰, Canada 🇨🇦, Finland 🇫🇮, Ukraine 🇺🇦 and Germany 🇩🇪. It was also great to see a representation of the Canton de Vaud ecosystem 🇨🇭 from Virtuosis as well as EPFL spin-off Gridsteer.
Alice Fauconnet, Co-Founder of #Kickstarter22 New Roots AG, shared the incredible origin story of their ethical and sustainable vegan creamery. To close the evening, we had a diverse panel including Christoph Hunziker from La Mobilière, Nathalie Cadot from MAVA Foundation, and Julia Binder from IMD sharing their companies’ approaches to innovation and sustainability. 🌿
